montreal,
Hey everyone, i want to purchase a tial wastegate, probably a 38mm. Now the problem is i have no idea what im orderging. I am planing on runing a evo3 16g and eventually upgrade to at least a 20g. Now the problem is on the website from which i want to order it, they ask me several things that i don't know what to answer to. Which psi rating and valve should i choose? The bar goes from 0.25 to 1.6 bar and the valve varies from street or race(obvious choice).

Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance!

Depending on how much boost you want to run will dictate what spring to use. The Tial springs are offered by base psi (e.g. the minimum psi you'd have without any MBC). There is a helpful spring chart on Tial's website to help you determine what you need (they are also upgradable). The race valve is just of higher quality for use with leaded gas. The 44mm+ already have these installed, the 38 gives the optino as is the base model.

Sorry but i still don't understand what spring pressure to choose, i will be running about 16 psi before i get my head gasket and some other things done to the head and after that probably be running about 22 psi. So can someone please help me choose the correct spring pressure? thanks

You want to get at least a large red. Which is about 16 psi. Or you can order a little red and a replacement large red, and when you go to 22 psi. Just put the large red in with the little red, and have about 22. Which is a lot safer then using a MBC.

i will probably be using an electronic boost controller, but lets say i buy the springs for 22 psi can i then raise my boost to lets say 26 or whatever from the boost controller?

with a wastegate and a mbc or ebc the pressure is dictated by the bc the wastegate spring pressure is made incase u dont run a bc or if yours fails it relieves pressure at the spring rate so if you have a 10 psi spring and want to run 20 psi with a bc than thats fine but if ure bc fails than ure wastegate automatically limits the boost to 10 psi

great thanks allot
