2G Viper alarm question

My car came with that basic 4 button viper alarm system and keyless entry not quite sure on model number but randomly the other day it stopped working. My keyless still locks and unlocks the door's but there is no beep and also the light stays on all the time when im not in the car vs. flashing. Wondering if this light is trying to tell me something?

Yeah, check the manual on viper alarm (DEI) and turn the alarm OFF valet mode.

Your alarm is in valet mode. There should be two buttons on your remote you need to press to deactivate the valet mode.
