Turn ES Bushings into 2 piece?

I am interested in getting a complete bushing set for my car. I got a lot of wear on my current ones.

My question is can you turn the E.S bushings into a 2 piece design like the Prothane ones? I was thinking of running them through band saw down the center.

I want the softer feel of the E.S, but the ease of install like the prothane

Anyone ever do this?
Would there be any reason you should not or can not?

I was reading through a few threads and saw a couple people mention that the new ES bushings for 2gs are now a 2 piece design?

Is this true?

Not sure, but bumping your own threads will get you shut down fast on this site. Give it time and some one wil answer you if theyve done it before.

I run prothanes and lvoe em, but my Steering wheel does shake a lot at idle
