Help! purchasing race motor..

Hey everyone,

just have a quesiton about howellautomotive.com im attempting to purchase a race motor and was curious what exactly i need? 2.0L short block is what im looking for but the long rod thing is throwing me off? Also as far as the piston size, 8.6, 10.5, 12.5. Set me straight! As far as mods go, id be installing, Super 16g Turbo Kit, Apexi Full 3" ExhaustThanks, and should i replace the cams to 272's? Or is that not necessary? Looking for 350WHP, Daily Driverish. Thanks alot,

get the 2.0 longblock for your car thru slowboyracing.com....they build em and we beat the sh@t out of them and they still run like they are new....seriously bada$$ motor....check it out....they do all the work and make those hard to make decisions for you....

if you're really just looking for under 400hp just freshen up your stock motor. Slowboy does build some great motors for real performance needs.

if thats the case does anyone sell a internal upgrade kit for these 4G63's? if so can someone direct me to the website? the engine that im going to be buy is going to range from 95k-150k miles on it.. thats why i was thinking of purchasing a race motor. but im looking for cost effectiveness as well.

And is it that much better to upgrade the whole motor? Couldn't i just do a short block upgrade? or am i defeating the purpose by not upgrade the whole thing?

Are you looking for a 420A or 4G63? Howell builds 420A motors, I've never seen them offering a 4G63 race motor.
