[RESOLVED] exhaust question 2.5in or 3in flange?

ok im making a custom staight pipe. only question i have is up by the exhaust manifold is it a 2.5in flange or a 3in flange that bolts to the stock exhaust manifold.

are you talking about the downpipe flange from the 02 housing???

Cause only the turbo bolts to the manifold so im not sure what you are asking for sure...sorry if im just missing something here.

yes fromt he o2 housing im sorry. its at the end of the j pipe

i believe it is 2 1/4. i could be wrong. but 2 1/2 would be fine with some porting.

What kind of car are you talking about here? N/A, Turbo? Also, a J-Pipe is on the intake side, not the exhaust side. Fill out your profile, it would help.

i will do that . .. 98 eclipse gsx. i have stock exhasut manifold stock downpipe n cat. hks catback. i want to do staight pipe going back witch im going to custom make i just need to kno ### size flange is at the top of the downpipe. im not very good at explaing this stuff

Well from this at FP it looks like stock size is 2.5"

And also for future reference, from your head exhaust gases go into the exhaust manifold, then into the turbine housing of your turbo, then into your O2 sensor housing, and then into your downpipe, so you're looking for the size of the flange from downpipe to O2 sensor housing, not the exhaust manifold.
