1990 eagle talon tsi. I am going to use an safc to tune. My question is this. Will I be able to log wideband afr's on a logger if I have the aem wired into the stock ecu? Is this possible? Or is there a way to log w/ the wb itself?

Also what is a good program to log with a laptop? Most of the stuff I have found is palm compatible, but since I already have a laptop, I would rather get a cable and software made for that. I also want something that logs at a lot of rpm points, so it is very informative. Any suggestions and help is GREATLY appreciated!

i dont think you can wire the eideband into the ecu. i dont know if there are just plain loggers that will use your wideband, but if you go with DSMlink it solve all of your issues. it tunes alot better than an afc, you can use your laptop, and it allows wideband input. it is the best tool out there for your car.

I am in the same boat you are, I have the same setup and would like to log the wideband readings but dont know if there is a way with the stock ecu? I do my best to watch the gauge but its a pain.

Yes you can log your wideband with mmcd on a logger. You will have to hardwire it to the egrt wire in the ecu. I did this a few years ago and had good results with it. If I remember right the newer version had provisions to convert the voltage to afr. If not you will have to convert the voltages in you head on on paper. Still this is real easy to do. Search and you will find more info.

After thinking it over I am just going to spend a couple more bones and get dsmlink. Thanks for the advice.

I have fully researched dsmap, and I would prefer only sd, but I am new to this and will pay for the support that dsmlink provides.
