Curious to see when others' original OEM lash adjusters (more commonly called lifters) began to tick. I'm at 130+ thousand miles and haven't heard a peep from them yet. Of course the revised lifters are going in soon, but I'm surprised at the amount of complaints that come from other DSMers about theirs.

Mine only tick towards the end of the oil life 2500 miles or so. change the oil and its fine so as soon as i hear any tick it gets a oil change.

Mine tick right at start up and i guess when oil gets to them after about 10 seconds of running they stop for the most part, the odd time i'll here a tick. the car has 250,000km on it, when i put in new cams i will be putting in revised lifters, obviously.

Mine tick mostly when the motor is cold. But sometimes after a cool down period after a run, they start to tick again. 97k on the motor.

I got my car with 14k on the odometer, and it ticked pretty much from day one. At around 38k, I removed the lifters and cleaned them and did the MCCC trick and never heard a tick for years. Now it's got 76k on it and they have started to tick again, every so often.

I'll probably try cleaning them again or just buy new lifters.
