replacing the power steering belt

i have looked at the other topics about replacing the power steering belt, but i am still a little confused. i looked under the hood of my GSX, and it looks like i have to remove the alternator belt to get to the PS belt. however, all the topics i have found say that you can take the PS belt off without removing the alternator belt. How?

I never took it off without removing the alternator belt, you have to remove it to take the power steering belt off.
