So I know my front wheel bearing needs replaced. I also have to replace the outer tire rod. The tie rod ends aren't expensive ($28 for a set from advanced auto), but the wheel bearing and hub is ($140).

So, I searched Ebay and found someone selling an ASIAN brand wheel bearing and hub.

I know that AISAN made some of the OE parts for DSMs, so would this be an ok replacement part? It's only $74 with shipping so it would save me quite a bit.

Here's the link eBay Motors: 95-05 Mitsubishi Eclipse Galant Frt Hub Wheel Bearing (item 190220977364 end time May-18-08 11:57:59 PDT)

(Both parts went bad because I hit black ice, then a hillside this winter. I finally jacked my car up and checked the wheel because I heard the tell-tale grinding noise. The amount of play is insane.)

i would do it, i bought on ebay about two months ago wheel bearing/ hubs for my SVT contour and they are fine. if you think about it what is made in the US anymore.. they are prob the same ### ones that came on the car.

I just seen this name the other day. hrmmm.. Seals maybe, I think is what I was doing at the time.

EDIT: This is going to bug me now, I just went to the garage to check it wasn't the seals, wasn't the break caliper or headlights.. What the heck was I doing the other day when i saw that name.

I saw the "Aisan" brand on a water pump that this guy told me was from a Mitsu dealer. I did not use it, because it was not the one I needed (7 Bolt).
I also don't know how to confirm that it was a real Mitsu part.

well if its the same part number they there is no difference. lets say you have turbo and you need one. they will give you the same thing.

So, this is my wheel bearing and tie rod. I think I'm pretty luck the wheel didn't fall off.

Yes, the lug nuts are tight when I did this. There really is that much play.
