For what i have into it, i am happy with it. Its my new daily driver, should be fun. I haven't spent 1k$ on this, as of yet, and that includes the car.

It has a few mods, not really fast. I will be tuning it for "hopefully" about 330-350 to the wheels, that should be enough to enjoy my ride to work. I like the fact it has a/c and cruise control and is pretty comfy inside.

I just need to get the front end painted now. Its a 99 7 bolt with a 1st gen head, it's running a clipped/ported 16g.

It's running on factory fuel control (components) now, need to up that asap, figured i would work the bugs out before i go crazy with it.

Very much to my surprise, it fired off the very first crank. This being my 1st DSM re-build and being a shell with a hacked up harness....i was stoked it runs!!!! :rocks:

Thanks guys!! I look forward to getting it all wrapped up and making some decent power.

On a factory setup, u have a bit to go for 350whp. But it is a very reachable goal, just make sure you do all the little things along the way and don't go bolt on crazy!

300whp is what I am looking for. only 60more HP to go:D

Welcome to the DSM World!

I have the injectors and the pump, i just wanted to make sure the motor was OK before i installed any "other" parts.

I am curious to see what it can do, not to sure about the 16g on factory fuel and boost levels, so i have been granny driving

Nothing wrong with Granny driving till your sure of a new car/parts. I get to do that next week when i throw in the STG 2 Clutch and Flywheel. No Auto-X for me:cry: Glad to see someone has some sense and care for thier car, instead of the drive it like you stole it all the time. Not that there is anything worng with driving it like you stole at time. I live by ther words: No such thing as too much HP, just too little Traction:rocks:

Which Injectors and Fuel pump do you have?

You do know that is the marine grade Optima battery right? :p
LOL nm I see the boat in background now. did you "borrow" it from the boat?

those batteries take some serious abuse. i have seen plenty of cars run them with no problems.

650cc injectors, and a walbro 255 pump. I want to make sure everything i did for the 1st gen head was in order...so far, so good. I still need to dial in the timing.

Haha, that's actually my jet ski. (Boat is behind fence)

I like the 1000cca of the "deep cycle" marine battery, plus when it breaks....the battery is still good a year later when i get it running.:p

Congrats on getting it running!!!

Thanks, when i got it.... It was a good amount of work to get it where from when i got it.

congrats man, Looking good get some door caps (i just sold mine 2ga's awile ago LOL). I like the way you have the two tone going on. Now i need to get to work on mine :thumb:

You will like the Walbro. I have had it for a while, and other than the fact that it make a ton of noise, its great. Fuel delivery is not an issue for me. Make sure when you install it, that u run new wire back there. DSM's are know for not having a strong enough wire, so when you turn on anything, especially blinkers... you can hear the pitch of the fuel pump change as its loses power.ROFL

you haven't even spent 1000 dollars on that car yet? what!? how many miles on that engine

I have put about 35 miles on it. I traded this car for a civic hatch shell i had, best part is...i traded a head i was given for the hatch! Then i found a NIB 1st gen head and buschur clipped/ported evoIII 16g for 250$;)

As far as the idle...If it is cold it idles fine, when it warms up it idles at 3k. If i adjust it down to 1k when its warm, it won't idle when its cold.
