I have a few questions that i couldnt find good answers too after alot of searching.

How do i extract the most power out of my setup on with 100 octane, tunung with an SAFC.
Mods: EvoIII 16g, 550 injectors, wideband, egt, logger, front mount, external wastegate, and all the rest of needed supporting mods.

I am going to have two tunes, one for daily drivin 92 octane, and one for track use and 100 octane. I read that theres no point of running higher octane unless i have dsmlink and can adjust the timing. ??

I am wondering how to best extract power with an SAFC an 100 octane. And the most efficient way to go about this.
Thanks all.

P.S. I know how to tune and use the SAFC.

You can run the car a bit leaner with higher octane and make more power. No you can't add timing to it with just an SAFC, but when you're pulling out airflow, you might be advancing the timing anyway (and not even know it), so even if you could (using an ITC of some sort, or the CAS in a 1G), you might not wanna do that without a DSMLink, AEM, or some other device that can log the timing. Anyway, just run the car a bit leaner than you would on straight pump gas.

Sleeping talon is exactly correct, you may be pulling time and just not know it but that is besides the point. Octane is added to gas to resist burning, therefore you can run more boost on 100 octane versus 92 because you will have less of a chance of detonation.

12:1 at WOT is pretty safe and still making good power I would sit right there on a daily driver. On my 1g I ran a Evo3 16g at the full 25psi on 101 and leaned it out majorly with no problems on 560's.Just remember you'll makwe the most power right before you melt a piston som i'd keep leaning it out. Live on the edge man!:thumb::laser:

All you can do with an AFC is lean it out and add timing (which happens because you're hacking the airflow signal). You say you have a logger, so I'm assuming you can log knock. Lean it out as much as it'll go without knocking. And the higher octane you can get, the better (don't stop at 100).

I cant log knock. So just lean it out until it retarts timing? Im excited to tune my car, i just need to cure this deadly boost creep :)

whats your boost set at? whats it creep to?

If I get boost creep with my new Many I might just set the boost lower and let it creep up to what I want.

were do you get 100 octane. Our local track has 95 octane that says unleaded but nothing else says anything about lead or no lead.

The two times ive got the balls to run the car to redline, i saw around 24-25 psi with the boost set to 12.
Right now the turbos off and the wastegate flapper is welded shut. Im just waiting for gaskets and my tial 38mm and then she will be back togethor :).

Anybody want to buy a deltagate haha

I was getting a bit of creep but it was like 3-4 psi. Once I get the logger and the fuel upgrades in the mail its going to bumped up at the track a bit to see what she can do.

good luck hope everything is cleared up.

Man I am jelous. I couldn't run but 11.6-11.7 AFRs on 100 octane before it started to knock again. I needed C16 to get the car in the 12 AFR's.

Hook your WBO2 0 - 5v output into the rear O2 sensor input at the ECU. That will allow you to log Lambda when making a pull. Start with the base mathematical correction on the SAFC for you injectors and then start leaning things out from there. If you can post logs of the pulls, we can steer you in the right direction. I woudn't shoot for a specific AFR, just whatever you can get away with before you start knocking.
