ok I want to do a total rebuild on my motor. I am wanting to rebuild front bottom end up? so my question is this... how do I find out ifI have a 6 or 7 bolt motor, and were can I find pistons, rods, crank, rockers, pushrods, cams, springs, valves, basicly all the internals but that are performance upgrades?
also I want to do polyurathae motor mounts, tranny mounts the works... basicly all new poly bushings everywere but cant find themm. any help- will be appreciated..

If you are asking this many questions about an engine build and don't know any of the answers, it sounds like you need to do a lot of research first.

If you're looking for a high hp engine, I would call up a few of the supporting vendors on this site and talk with them. Tell them what you're looking for and they'll be able to help you find the parts (or the full package - if possible or if buying from a place that'll build the engine for you). But do a lot of research!!!

There are plenty of pages on here to help you tell whether you have a 6 or 7 bolt - just do a search.

There are plenty of vendors who sell polyurethane motor mounts. Open the Supporting Vendors - Directory page and just start looking through the companies.

trust me I have spent over a week now just doing research... and this wont be my first build just a first with a dsm... I am really looking forwar to this cause I know its gonig to be well worth it... just figured I would ask cause some of the threads I have read are severally outdated and what was great when the thread started isnt even made anymore... so it kinda puts me back at square one

If your car is as listed in your profile you have a 6 bolt engine. Good place to start. The stock bore is 85 mm .20 over is 85.5, etc on the way up in half mm's. Unless your going for totally crazy horsepower or a stroker leave the stock crank alone. It's very well built and can handle tons of horsepower.

I vote ARP hardware head studs, main studs, etc not matter what you decide to fill your block with. I have Eagle H-Beam rods and Wiseco Pistons in my engine with ACL bearings. They can probably withstand upwards of 500-600 horsepower. It all depends on how much money you want to spend. Maybe you want a stroker. Just search around and decide what is right for you. Call up some vendors I'm sure they would be more than happy to assist having done this for numerous years. What it all boils down to is what your goals are and what makes you happy.

400-500 range... and I know it wont be easy... but I work with a guy who is running a boosted fully built grand prix and another kat who is running a 350z.... my goal is to smoke the 350z... which i dont think can be done but im going to try. :)

well I think i found a good rebuild kit for 2400 but i still need a good crank... my question is this, would it be of gray benifit to me to run a full stroker kit and run boost? would it work together? also do they make any performance lower ball joints? cause I have seen in several threads where different peoples ball joints have went out on them..
