axle out of kunckle - hub still attached?! Help

can you get the axle out of the knuckle with the hub still attached to the axle?

The axle is the first thing that comes out, then the hub/knuckle assembly should be removed and the hub will have to be pressed out.
Its a PITA on any car, did you curb check it?

Axle froze up in hub? Axle comes out of the back and hub is pressed out of the front.

No, no way to do it. If you are trying to pull the tranny, you can remove the axle and spindle as an assembly. If you are trying to replace just an axle or spindle, they need to be separated. This may involve a press, torch, big hammer, or all three.
