there is a metal switch under my dash( drivers side under the wheel) that turns on a light on the top of the middle consol, does any one know what that does, i notice no difference performance wise, could it be for an alarm the previous owner had or something....
 
Yeah.. It was more than likely some sort of kill switch for the alarm, or a very non hidden ignition cut off switch (used for anti-theft)... Or maybe a dual stage MBC setup.. Do like homeboy said and trace the wires to the source...
 
it switches the light on and off... I checked the wires and it was for an alarm..apparantly my car had been making a "bip" sound( similar to a po siren) evreytime I started the car but I never heard it because I was in the car..
