OMG my first question - and I hope someone has the answer!

We have a 1990 Laser Rs Turbo with a bad ECM, will a good ECM out of a 1994 Eagle Talon Tsi work as a replacement?

Thanks for any answers!

Thanks - both cars are manual (5sp).

Any idea what might happen if we just do a straight swap?
My Laser's ecm is bad, we bought a used one from a non-turbo but it ran lousy. My son has a now-wrecked Eagle Talon turbo and we thought maybe we could pull the ecu and use it in my Laser.

Are there any major differences (seems like there may be a lot according to the link you gave - I'm not that special with splicing significant wiring:cry:...

The differences are minor and are well covered by Mr. Peeper's link. A friend of mine has a `90 Talon that is currently running a later model 1G ECU and it works great. :D
