ok so i was leaving my house the other day and right before i was to go over the speed bump, the car dies. so i try and start it and nothing, not even a click in the engine, no lights or anything. i'm like WTF!!!!WTF so i push it back into the garage and start going through fuses. they all look fine. the only power i do have are the floor board lights, the dinger when you leave your keys in the ignition, and the door light on the dash. other than that the car is dead. am i missing some fuses somewhere? i know there are some under the dash i need to check, but are there any that are hidden that i'm missing? any ideas of thoughts would greatly help me

thanks in advance

I had similar problem. OK check all eletric starting with abttery then alternator and then your starter. then with you satrter off make sure all your teeth on the flywheel are good too. hoefully it turns around all the way.( pull your spark plugs befoer you do this and check them too.) Good luck i pray you didnt drop a valve too( i had almost same problem.)

Check the battery cable connections. Seems like an overly obvious problem, but I had a similar situation and after I checked the alternator, all the fuses, and made sure that there wasn't a draw on the battery then a few days later I started tugging on the cables and they were not loose at all. After I took the cables off and reattached them it started fine.

If the posts are corroded clean those off too.

Just a suggestion. Let me know how it works out.

well, after going through evrything last night, low and behold, it was the damn positive connector on the battery. it's weird cause it wasn't caroded or anything. that was actually the first thing i checked too. i swapped it out and it fired right up.

thanks guys for all your help

Yeah when it happened to me I was pretty pissed that it was that because it took so long to fix. I almost had wished it was something big just so I wouldn't feel as bad about it being something so little.

Glad I could help. Good thing it's fixed!
