My setup on my 1990 Eagle Talon TSI
Timing 5 BDC
FPR 38 PSI (vacuum disconnected)
Revired Walbro 255

50-Trim Turbo, internal WG, FMIC
HKS SSQV Dump
3" MAF Blowthrough mode, MAF-T and 660 Denso.
Stock Intake Manifold.
RRE Downpipe 2,5" - > 3" and 3" downpipe back, no CAT.
EVOIII exhaust manifold, EVOIII O2 housing.
SAFC II and logging with Pocket logger.

I need bigger injectors since i want to run my 50-trim in 25-30psi, planning to go with 1050FIC injectors.

My question.. What should i choose, contact dsmchip to build me a keydiver chip KEYDIVER Chips - DSM ECU Tuning , or buy DSMlink, i can afford both its not the money.

I dont want to spend all my time tuning, want to drive and feel safe.

Been tuning with my SAFCII now and feel quite comfortable with that..

What is the pros and cons on both tuning systems, would appreciate if someone had experience in both and could comment.

Thanks.

Is it really like point 3 says at KEYDIVER Chips vs DSMLink , that if i tune the car for 25psi it will affect drivability on lower boosts?

The conclusion sounds like me, dont want to tune too much, mostly drive:)

"Many guys don't know where to even begin to compensate for such changes, or don't want to hurt their daily driveability, so they find that the maps in my chips are "close enough" to make a LOT of extra power, without tuning or the use of piggybacks. If you are the kind of guy that enjoys tinkering with your tune, or need to change tuning for weekend racing, or "need" every last HP out of your setup that you can get, do yourself a favor and try the DSMLink"

Seems everyone is recommending link, might be the way to go anyway, is it as hard to get the basics done to get started?

Is this even a question? It's like asking if you should date a supermodel or a random hoodrat. Dsmlink ftw.

DSMlink if you plan to make any real power. Keydiver, like he said, only gets it close. Is it worth the price of the motor?

DSMLink FTMFW. The base settings make it plug and play. I was running on the base setting after tuning my fuel trims with no issues... except running rich like a stock DSM, which is easily fixable with a couple of clicks like on the SAFC. DSMLink is a tuneable keydiver chip, so to speak. They set the base settings that you request and you have the option to change anything you want with a couple clicks.

Oh, as far as comparison...SAFC is like fighting with one hand behind your back. DSMLink is like fighting with a roll of pennies in both fists. :D

Spend about 1/2 day tweaking your base settings (if you are an anal SOB like me) then you just drive. If you ever want to spend some extra time tuning, the option is always there to get more power with a few clicks and a few test runs.

Can you tell I love my DSMLink? The graphs are beautiful compared to endless lists of numbers from a datalog. :boring:

The forum support with link is unmatched. If you like to push limits, explore new options and have a general desire to really learn things inside and out, its a great forum to learn, and have some great guys helping you.

I'd definitely go with the dsmlink brah, its a hell of alot better and it gives you control of all your tuning, plus its more worth it IMO:dsm:

Will the stock fuel rail flow enough with the FIC1050? I have a revired 255 and a Aeromotive FPR.
