Nippon Piston ring set 35$ qaulity?

I'm not usually an ebay fan because you get what you pay for, but I was under the understaning NPR or Nippon made alot of our oem parts and i was looking to get oem rings to hopefully hold 20 psi on my evo 3 does anyone think these would work insead for 100 dollars cheaper?

NPR is a great brand, i´ve used their rings and pistons several times, and they come out very good, just like stock.

Well, I'm hoping they hold up good...I bought their pistons and the rings & pins came with, and I'm going to see how they hold up to 20psi from a 60-1...I'll let you know.

I've been using Nippon rings and ebay pistons for over 1500 miles. running 15psi. checked compression and everything is good. i would recommend them for people running similar mods and psi as myself.

*UPDATE*

Don't mean to bring this thread back from the dead, but I just wanted to let everyone know that I have 10k miles on the rings/motor, most of which were boosted at 17psi with an evo3 16g. 172psi across the board during a cold test.

Good to know. I told you NPR is very good. People here are paranoic about non-mitsu parts. Their real PITA is the money we save . Im running myself a set of RIK, which is very good too.

Good to hear. Nippon is damn good, I ran NPR pistons and rings in my old engine, great quality.

My friend runs nippon pistons and rings. Car is putting our like 500hp and going strong with 10k miles on it. 32psi and 110 octane.
