To begin my project goal was 300whp on a evoIII 16G at about 20-22psi. My shopping cart was going to include a pocket logger, S-AFC neo 650cc injectors, walbro 190 and rewire. Ive orderd a front mount and have a 3inch TB exhaust. Well after shopping around for a bit I came acroos 650cc injectors for 150 barely used from a guy at a local shop. Needless to say I bought them. Well I have been reading about the power of the 14b and decided I would like to max out my stock turbo before upgrading. I want to build and tune it myself and work my way up. That way I know im getting the most out of my turbo(and money). My question is with only a SAFC would I be able to run the 650s with a stock turbo?

Yes. I used 680s with a SAFC back in the day before i got DSMlink. You just need to use a logger and lean things out a bit. Even when you upgrade to a 16g, those injectors should be enough. Make sure you get that logger before you put those injectors in and start tuning.:talon:

EDIT: I had a Big16g when I had that setup.

Thanks for the response. So with a wideband, logger and SAFC I should be able to run 650s with a 14B?

I heard that the only problem with running safc is that it is an inconsistant tune. The weather, barometric pressure, lots of these things play a factor. My car is inoperative right now but let me know how that safc works for you, i have one sitting at my house ready to go in untill i heard about these inconsistantcies. But it will run and you can change pulse widths so let me know how it goes, i may spend my dsmlink money elsewhere.

yeah if your going to tune blind its good. You need a wideband to get a good accurate tune. good luck geting the 650s tuned in on the safc its a pain in the ass. ive got a safc2 with a maft and with that setup ive got the maft tuned in for the injector size and fine tune on the safc2 but i have wideband. with your setup if you can get the car to run ok youll never know if your to lean rich or what without the wideband i know its some money but its the best investment ive ever made

This is not true at all. I live in Colorado and we have drastic weather changes and there are no issues with my safc. I also run a maf-t and dont have issues with weather change so far but others have said differently with the maf-t.
