Ok I took out my EGR system, and Im moving my wire harness inside my car what do you think I should do with the EGR connectors leave them and let them hang, snip them and cap them off, or take the wire out all the way to the connector. Im leaning towards the last because it will look alot cleaner.

I already have the harness out and was planning on relooming it, So its amatter if theres any chance ill put egr back and how I will want to do it. Just wondering what you guys think the cleanest and best for now and future will be

With early DSM's reaching their expected emissions life there is really no threat of us getting in trouble with emissions checks and other various legalities. For a '98, there is still a very high probability that an emissions law change could still effect you dramatically.

I would advise against doing an entire deletion of the EGR setup unless you are going to make a side system that could be reinstalled parallel to the rest of the harness. Then you could just do a temporary install to pass emissions, get your tags, and then swap it back out!

Also remember - if you rely on the assumption that you will be the only owner of this vehicle, do not ever expect any time or money contributed to ever be resalable.

Quite a few people here have a "stock box" where they will throw all the stock pieces they pull of their cars for any of those times that stock would be more valuable to the average consumer than modded products.

Well Im going to run AEM EMS when Im done that should take care of the the CEL right?

Honestly I really dont know the point in removing the EGR system. Its vacuum controlled and there is zero vacuum at wide open throttle so it should have no affect on your performance. It actually controls NOx and reduces the chances of detonation which is a good thing.
