EVO parts on a 1g eclipse

Hey do you think u can swap the EVO head on a 1g 4g63? And would you be able to use the evo cams with it.

Only if it is coming from an evo3 motor.

Ok I know i shouldn't be doing this but dsm2nr89 your say the head off an Evo3 will work for a 1g? what are pros/cons and alteration need to be done to fit on the engine.

And Turbodsm_125 your saying that all Evo camshafts will work in a 1g head, once more pros/cons, and do you know of any of the numbers on those camshafts?


Only reason I ask is I'm working on a list of all 2g and Evo parts that will fit and work on a 1g car. thanks guys.

Phirn no alteration needed. the evo3 motor in general is the same as the 1g motors. Only differences being the turbo,exh mani,intake mani,o2 housing,injectors. It will bolt up just fine to your 1g head.

The intake ports on the head are also different. They are similar to the 2g head intake ports in design. This is why an Evo3 intake manifold can bolt up to a 2g head without issues.
