Needle kits, anyone have these?

I'ne been lookings at these all winter and wanna put them in my car as soon as it gets warmer. Does anyone have these in their dsm?

Those needle kits are made by Import Intelligence - IntelliGlow Needle Kits

You don't get needles in different colors, you get leds that go under your needles. You have to take your stock needles out, sand them down to remove the orange paint behind them and then place them on the leds. The wiring is a pain in the ass cause the wires are very very thin.

I had them for about a year, I burned out 1 led so I took all of them out and went with led bubs and reverse glow gauges.

Just by looking at those, I bet I could wire up my own kit for less than $20 in supplies. Looks like all you'll get is LEDs and wires. MAYBE some mounting kit. The price tag is a little extreme.

I have one of their kits. My gauges could probably be considered "rice".

I've had it for about 4 years and at one point the dimmer died, but it was no big deal because they carry a great warranty. I think Matt told me it was lifetime on the needle kits. You might want to purchase directly from Import Intelligence so you get the warranty.

I don't even think that I'd buy the flexible LEDs. You can buy them in bulk, and wire them with solid wire. Then you can bend them as needed and they would stay pointing in that direction.

I just think I found myself a new cheap project. I'm not a fan of the orange and have 50 blue LEDs laying around.
