I think turbo is gone

a blown turbo will not cause your car to not start but just make it run crappy and not make boost and burn lots and lots of oil

This does not necessarily mean the turbo is gone. If the turbo bearings are shot, the car will usually have clouds of white smoke from the exhaust.

Take the intake hose off the turbo and see if the turbine will spin by hand. This will check to see if the bearings have seized.

Is the car trying to turn over or just stuck. i recently put a used motor in my car from canada and it turned over but would not start. It ended being the crank but there could be other numerous problems hopefully yuors won't be as expensive as rebuilding or buying a new motor.

A blown turbo with usally put alot of oil into the intercooler but the car with start and move. I would start with the basics like compression check, check for spark and fuel Then move to the timing. Also if you think the turbo is blown just remove the intake pipe and check for shaft play it should move in all directions with ease.

Definitely sounds like you got a little more going on then just the turbo.

Can you fill us in on what the car was doing before it wouldnt start? Did it drive ok, were you pushing it pretty hard...

i rebuilt motor with fresh crank and rod bearing had crank machined got motor put in and installed drove home and noticed oil leak not sure how bad... drove about 10 miles or so to work noticed oil leak was pretty bad and oil was spitting out the exhaust and drove home on the way home drove it pretty easy and the oil light came on about a mile from my house i didn't have the gauge hooked up and a block from my house went into second gear to about 2800 and went for third bein easy and when i let out of the gas it start to making a spinning sound and i popped the clutch it would not start sounds like turbo from front of car i notice what sounded like turbo squeal on the way home before the oil light. Haven't had anytime to investigate the bottom end has about 25 miles on it.

Sounds like your rebuilt motor, needs to go get rebuilt again. It could be a couple things, but sounds like a ring isnt sitting rit, or its fried. I would do a compression test.

wasnt the turbo the head is crap its locked up....i'm going to part the car out if anyone needs anything I"m in VA
