Hey all,

I wasnt sure where to post this question but here goes... I purchased a 1997 GSX off of ebay 2 months ago. I had the car delivered to me from NJ but the seller still has not sent me the title. I have been in contact with the seller ever since and he keeps giving me the run around. First it was that it just didnt get in the mail on time, then it was that he sent the title to my previous address. For the last month or so he had been working with the SOS and the bank that had the lein to get new copies of the paperwork. Last week he told me they would be overnighted to me on Friday or Saturday but here it is one week later and still no title. When i talk to him on the phone he seems very professional and not shady in the slightest. I did a carfax on the car before i bought it and it did not come up as a stolen vehicle and the car is currently insured with no problems. I tried calling the MI SOS where I live and the NJ SOS where the car was previously titled and neither will help me. I have the option to get a Surety Bond whatever that is but it costs twice the value of the vehicle which is rediculous. Has anyone delt with this before? How can I go about getting a title for this car?! I want to drive it!!!!!! I will continue to hound the seller but I have a feeling I will never get anything from him.

Thanks

hehe I have bought things off ebay before and know the same anxiety you are having right now. Calm down and give him a phone call and be up front with the fact your not getting the title when he says its supposed to be there. It seems there is a simple answer but your kinda freaking out because its been so long and its still not in your hands. Thats what I get from it. Good luck.

I would start buy asking why you get a differant answer everytime, Then i would say something along the lines of produce the title imediately or give you a full refund and give the car back. Thats my Opinion

One question I have for you is how did you pay for the item. The next thing that comes to mind is call ebay if you infact did purchase the vehicle through ebay. They may be able to help you. Next thing I would try to find out is who the lein holder is. <-- This option may not help much depending on the lein holder's policies and your states policies on privacy. If in fact the seller is not shady he may be willing to 3 way a call with you and the lein holder to help give you some assurance that he is doing what he can.

Hope you get it all worked out.
