AFC affecting my O2 sensor?

Hey guys, i'm new to this forum so first off hello

ok. i just bought a 97 gs-t about 5 days ago and i went to get it inspected but the check engine light's on and my buddy said that it's more than likely the o2 sensor. Is there any chance that my AFC could be throwing off my o2 sensor?

I know this might be a really good or really dumb question so any advice or response is really appreciated.

You have an exhaust system, but I'm going to assume no catalytic converter?

If you don't have a cat, your rear o2 sensor will throw a CEL indicating the cat isn't doing its job. It won't affect anything but makes it hard to tell if any other codes are thrown.

Do you have a logger to check for codes? You can't do too much with an AFC without a logger in the first place.

If you can get your hands on a logger it will tell you what the CEL actually is.

i took it down to Auto Zone today and they ran a diagnostics on it. It came back as the O2 sensor needs to be fixed, there's a vacuum leak (not sure exactly what that is) and something to do with my fuel pressure. One of the hoses from the cylenoid on my injectors had came loose so i was hoping that that was the fuel pressure and vacuum leak. But either way i'm pretty sure i need to have the o2 sensor's replaced or something.
