Hey guys.
Ive read a lot of posts with my same problem but none have helped and I think its because Mine is a result of my headlights.
I bought this car a few weeks ago. The guy told me ever since He installed the HID halo projectors for headlights the tail lights and the clusters wont turn on. I know its because of a short. The problem is I don't know where to start.
It has something to do with the headlights. I unplugged the and tried and nothing work. Any suggestions.

I had a problem with my turn signals not working and my turbo timer not working because the guy that had it before rigged it. I startd by looking under the steering wheel and behind the radio. (I had guage issues as well.) If he rigged something then that is where your problem may lie but if not then it may be the fact that there is a blown fuse, I had one under the hood on the passenger side. If it suddenly stopped working then I would start with the fuses because a fuse has been the culprit more than once for me.

:rocks:
rock it out!

This guys was FOR SURE a ricer. I mean...i cant even explain how he wired the audio. So thats most likely it. Gosh I hate working on eletrical stuff I dont know but Ill look through it and follow his tracks and Ill let you know. More advice is good too =)

Any news on your issue. I'm having the same trouble. I traced mine to the large white wire exiting from the ignition on the steering column. It is very hot and smoking, yet it has been untampered with and runs into the wiring harness under the dash. On the other end in the engine bay, all seems well; no hot wires and no shorts?? Any help would be nice!!

Try this:

If everything else works in your car, with the exception of the running/corner lights, taillights (except brake lights), and cluster lights then the problem is definitely one of those items.

Start at the back of the car.

Unplug your taillights, replace the fuse if it's blown and turn on your headlights. If the fuse doesn't blow then the problem is in the taillights, if it does blow that the problem isn't in your taillights. If the fuse doesn't blow, plug the taillight plugs in one at a time checking the fuse between each until the fuse blows. Then you know that the problem is in whatever you just plugged in.

If that doesn't fix the problem do the same for the corner/running lights. Then your cluster itself.

Let me know what you discover.
