i need experts,gurus,dsm gods!! car runs like crap

ok my car dose the following:
sputters
surges (holding pedal steady)
dies while at idle
throws cel's out of no where
miss fires at low and midrange rpms
gets s#!ty gas mileage
i have to hold the pedal down to keep motor running
and probably more i cant think of right now, but it does all of these things while im
driving it
from the test that ive done and what i see under the hood i know i have:
a crack in exhaust manifold
my o2 sensor is bad
my tps ethier needs to be adjusted or its faulty
i have a good top end from what the compression tests show
no one can figure out what is wrong with it somebody help please!!!!!

If you think you have a faulty TPS change it. This can cause power problems and idleing issues. Check and double check things. A bad o2 sensor ill make your car run like crap and horrible gas mileage.

Do a boost leak test, that can never be said enough. If the car has to be given gas at idle it can almost be certainly a leak. Run through your whole maintence list. Could be a couple of issues working together. Have you checked the igniton system. I bet you fouled out the plugs

Get a logger and look up what code it threw. A misfire in my 2g car will be related to the cam angle sensor since I have a 6 bolt. But I believe the ecu does not scan for misfire the same waya 2g ecu will, but its worth a check. What is your timing?

what should i check on the ignition system?
i hooked it up to a scope and some of the cylinders were barley firing
i dont remember which ones?
and i dont know what my timings at?

I would change the o2 sensor and get new plugs and wires. Then adjust your tps.

yeah change your 02 sensor if you know its bad change and go from there. it will cause horrible gas milage and could make the car run like crap knock one thing out at a time

There is a DMS guru installed on your car called the ECU. If your ECU is telling you that parts are bad, listen to what it's saying and fix them. After you fix all of the problems you know about, see how the car runs. If you still have problems but don't know what else it could be, then post. It's impossible to tell you everything that's wrong with your car when you haven't even fixed the problems you know about. The O2 sensor is absolutely critical for low to medium throttle operation. A bad O2 sensor is going to make your car run like complete crap in closed-loop mode, and you know it's bad, so...

Fix cel issues, then move on to other things and work your way down the list. Half the battle is figuring out the issue/problem. Good luck.
