Ok now I have 1g head on in my 2g. The block I have is a evoIII block and internals fully rebuilt. There is oil coming out the sides where the block and head meet. I have arp head studs but for some reason they all won't go down all the way. What does that mean?? Do I have to get more studs??

You need shorter studs it sounds like. Over time studs stretch and they bottom out inside thier hole in the block. You try to tighten them down and the head still leaks. First off remove the head. If your using a standard gasket you need to trash it. once its soaked with oul and soot it will not seal for any length of time. If its MLS then I would still replace it as there may be irregularities. If the bolts aren't damaged when you remove them you can cut 1/4 to 1/2 an inch off the tip, then grind them smooth with a sander or grinder so they dont have buggars on the edges. After that you should be able to reinstall it and torque it down to prevent leaks. I would have the head checked for cracks and milled while its off. Just in case it has become slighly warped you get the best seal possible. This is normally 80 dollars at a machine shop and is done the same day. Just remember somtimes bolts stretch or the aftermarket ones are slightly too long to begin with. You just need to trim them off to make sure they dont bottom out.:coy: PS Use lubricant like WD-40 to clean the bolt from debris before reinserting and use lubrication + antisieze compound on the threads. This way they can be removed easier later and they are torqued down all the way when you reinstall the Studs.
