Ok.. im just at witts end with this car sometimes. I just spent over 3grand on getting the engine rebuilt and put back in the car. and it is still leaking oil. I don't know why it is leaking now.. So im thinking that is is leaking from the head gasket again but im not sure. you can look at my mods and give me your opinion. Im going to put some of that lucas oil stabilizer in the car tomorrow to see if that will stop the leaking.

We're going to need a bit more information to help you out here. Please try to be more specific.

Well the car spun a rod bearing back in october. and it went to the shop on febuary this year. I got the car back two days ago. I was sitting at a stop light and it started smoking like it had been doing before it broke. I pulled over and checked under the car and there was oil dripping from the bottom of the motor like it did before in the same area. It was coming from behind the oil pan. Im not sure what other details you need.

I clean it but i only comes out at a high rate when im driving the car. when its at idle its to hard to see where it would be coming from. Im going to hook up my oil pressure gauge but i need to find another place to mount other than the spot by the oil pump. So i can keep track of that. I also.. I am trying to drive the car as little as possible cause i don't want to go through this again.

Yeah im going to take it there. So they can look at it. There should be no leaks at all. Is there anywhere oil would leak from other than the head gasket in the back. It looks like it soaks the lower area by the firewall.

Same situation here. Soaks the subframe that runs across. My headgasket is clean. If you can look down and see the block and the head are clean. I guarantee your in the same boat I am and that your oil pan is leaking. Now if I could only get it to seal. This will be like the 3rd or 4th time.

I would call the machine shop that built it. Be nice and they may help you out. Give them the heads up first though

Check your oil return gasket on the pan, or the turbo oil feed line, something might have not got tightened all the way and its leaking onto your exhaust. My oil return line gasket was leaking and I made a new gasket with some gasket material stuff and some high temp gasket maker for the bolts (on the threads)

You try taking it by the place that did the install? Might give them a shot. Always hate to have to do stuff that you paid someone else to do.

Im going to look at it some more when i get home to see if i can feel behind the block to see if the oil is coming from the head. it should be wet on there but i haven't been able to reach it just yet.

So after doing some further investigation I checked the block to see if i could find oil anywhere leaking down from the head gasket or anywhere oil would leak from. I found nothing the block is dry and there is no signs of oil..

But the power steering fluid is almost gone! and the consentration of the fluid is right in that area where the hoses connect into the rack and pinion area. under high pressure i could see these spraying fluid out and leaking down towards the exhaust/ down pipe. Also the oil level has stable now it was filled and has not droped down any since i last checked earlier today. This is also why i believe its coming from a different spot.

There is a waranty on it so if i have any problems i can take it back

well turns out that it is oil so its back at the shop. So I dont really know where else of coils be leaking from cause there is a pudle oil on the back side of the engine. Its really hard to say where its coming from. My only other guess is that is spraying from the oil pump. But there is a cover and I would expect that to leak from the bottom not from the bottom and not be sprayed all over the fire wall.

Ive cleaned it before but it takes no time for it to spray all over the place.. Just from the drive home from the shop there was oil all over the place. The only way i would be able to tell is if i were able to put a load on the engine with a dyno.
