Why are they so expensive i need a new one but don't want to pay the almost $300 for them.. and one know where to get a brand new one for a good price???

Why buy a brand new one, there all over the interent. Like $100-$150 for a powder coated one thats used.

I got my "jdm" valve cover for $20 You have to look around. Try ebay, i've seen powdercoated valve covers there going for like $60-$80 bucks or check junkyards. You can also get the valve cover off early 90's sonatas, same vc just slightly different lettering.

Why do you need a "NEW ONE" why not just get a used one?? You can find nice power coated for $100 or just get a plan one for cheaper.

all the dsm here the valve cover is gone from the the car....I just dont want to risk getting one thats cracked already but I haven't really checked out ebay yet I looked on here..but like I said I dont wont to get one and have it be cracked. Is there any after market ones out there. Like mugen racing has for hondas or something???

I bought mine brand new at the dealership for only $240 and that was their full retail price.
It might be worth finding a buddy or another DSMer that works at the dealership that can possibly extend a discount to you.

I would definitely not buy a powder coated one from ebay. You never know if they sand blasted it first. If they did, you are just asking for trouble. Mine had burnt on oil and the old gasket still attached

it is far to easy for some guy to buy a whole bunch of valve covers, sandblast them, powder coat them, and sell them for $150 online.

He doesnt sandblast his Just in case you were wondering.
