Ebay headlights h3 or h1

Fast question, I am about the buy this eBay Motors: 97 98 99 ECLIPSE/TALON BLACK HALO PROJECTOR HEAD LIGHTS (item 170201965461 end time Mar-21-08 18:06:14 PDT) and am wondering about the the 2 h1 bulbs on each side. Are h1 brighter then the h3's I see on other ebay headlights? Thanks all.

99% of those Ebay projectors carry H3 for low beams and H1 for hi beams. Brightness depends on what wattage bulbs they are.

Right thats why I dont understand why this set has 2 1h lights. Do you happen to know what the difference is between h1 and h3?

I just installed those housings a couple weeks ago. (but in all black; the adjusting assembly on my factory housing was broken) Yes they come with two H1's. I know the h1's are deeper than h3's, but I don't know if either is brighter. I can tell you that the light output is adequate with the included bulbs. Once properly adjusted I can say that I like them. It is a beautiful thing, being able to see at night.

Good luck installing those. The threaded inserts are very soft, and can be stripped out by hand. One of the threaded inserts was not threaded on mine, I had to run a tap down it. I had to scavenge the wiring out of my original housings, and not all of the bolt-holes line up to stock locations.

edit: I put a pic in my gallery of the lamps installed. I almost forgot to mention, the turn lamp socket is the correct shape, but wouldn't fit. I had to file away material from the new housings to get the socket to fit. I had to thin the material. Also, don't install the bottom bolt on these when installing; it is next to impossible to change the turn lamps with the housings installed. I had to remove the entire housing to put amber bulbs in. (I only had one amber bulb when I installed these. )

Cool thanks for in heads up. I really dont expect perfection for this price, but the brighter the better because I tinted my windshield and its hard enough to see.

Too bad you dont live in WA. I would do it very cheap and very high quality.
