Starquest BOVs (how much can they hold)

I accidentally purchased a BOV off of a 1g Starion, the ad said 1g DSM BOV uncrushed with pipe, at the time I disregarded the word Starion but I really shouldn't have. Does anyone know how much boost this will hold? It looks like it will fit a 1g BOV flange but since I haven't gotten a new UIC pipe yet I'm not sure yet. Any information would be appreciated, I did a quick google search but didn't come up with anything relevant.

I used to work for Mitsubishi parts, however, I have never seen the Starion's BOV. Does it look that much different than the DSM stocker? It might just hold about the same as a metal DSM BOV.

I am willing to bet you have a 1g dsm bov. I don't believe that the Starion had a bov from the factory.

i have two starions and neither of them had bovs on them.... it was before the time of a valve i think, odds are its just a 1g dsm valve or a nissan valve they look alot alike

Yea there are no BOV's on starions from the factory. They run such low boost I guess they didnt think it would damage the turbo that much and not worth adding one.

the starion runs like 10-11 psi stock, its just bad early design

I'm out of the state but this is the ebay photo. If it is a 1g which seems likely then I feel a lot better about it plus I found out a bunch of information about Starions which make me really want to pick one up if I see one somewhere.

When you boost leak test after installing it, see if it will hold 20psi. Mine pops at about 22psi or so.

My 97 GS and 88` Conquest TSi before I bought my 99 GSX. Let me tell you, the thing was a blast to drive . RWD, stock LSD, it pulled for what it had. A shame that I had to get rid of it, I will have another..I promise myself that .
