Hey all. I am beginning to look for a new o2 sensor housing and am having a hard time with the selection. First off, here's a summary of my current and future setup. By the time it leaves the garage this summer it will have a big 16g and FP2's with DSMlink and other support mods including an Evo III mani, ported hotside on the 16g, and 3" Megan down pipe, test pipe, and cat back. Later it will hopefully get an 18g, hopefully the FP version. Both will be run on E85 (once injectors come, either before it comes out of the garage this summer or shortly thereafter depending on money flow) and I intend to run both turbos pretty hard.
I have a 1g housing right now, which I ported fairly heavily but I still feel like it will be a bottle neck in the exhaust system. I was looking at either a 2g, Evo III, or tubular housing. I have read that there is sometimes fitment issues with the Evo III, so I am a little wary of getting one of those. I have found 2g housings for $20 or that one guy in the classifieds selling tubulars for about $70 shipped. Would that extra $50 be well spent on the tubular o2 houseing, or would the gains be minimal to nonexistant on my setup? This is a budget build, but I will spend the money necessary... way I see it is that $50 is $50 closer to the next mod if it would be if the tubular housing is in excess of what I would need. Thoughts would be much appreciated.
