Hey guys, i just bought a used 2g awd tranny(manual) from a place called S&S in vernon, california. Anyways, they said it came from japan. It is a 7 bolt tranny, but it doesnt have a vin number on it. instead it says R(mitsubishi sign)DOT. Also, the speedo gear doesnt have an electronic plug, instead it is cable driven. Everything else seems to check out fine though. I just dont want to put it in and have gearing problems( if its an evo III tranny). RRE said a evo III tranny wont work because of a different final drive. Is there any other ways to destinguish this tranny to make sure it is the right one. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
