Hi guys.

First - a little info on my Eclipse. It is an European model. 1999 GS with 7 bolt 4g63 non-turbo. Surprise!!

Now I am doing a 6-bolt swap. First of all my wiring is different from 2g turbo wiring so I will have to change the wiring with such from a turbo car. Second - the 6-bolt is complete engine...everything is there - sensors, pipes, injectors etc. The wiring was cut at the place where it was going trough the firewall so no connectors are present...

Initially I wanted to use a 2g ECU and do the Magnus swap. To accomplish that I had to buy the engine wiring, change all the sensors on the 6-bolt and buy a 2g turbo ECU.

Then a friend of mine told me that it would be better to use the 1g ecu, because the motor is 1g, and the fuel maps are programmed for this engine and all the sensors are there connected. I want to go that way but there is some stuff i need help with.

I've made a comparison between 1g ecu and 2g ecu. The matching pins are marked with a star. But what about the others. I don't understend what most of them mean and how can i control them without the ecu.

I need your oppinion - how to fix the stuff that won't be working with the 1g ECU.

thank you all

no, just the motor swap. The tranny is F5M31-2-ZVZT so it should be fine. I found some electrical wiring diagrams so can anybody who understands those help me with the differences between them. I read those but not entirely. I have found 2 solutions for the cooling fan and the alternator. I will use 1g rad temp sensor put in my radiator and will wire it to the radiator fan relay. Also I will use the 1g Alternator.

What about the other stuff. Will the 1g ecu work fine with the other than engine related stuff - eg. gauges cluster, ABS, AC, etc...

Also you can examine my dsm (exact parts by VIN) here (usually works mornings and nights):
Mitsubishi Catalog

I am quite new to tuning and dsms but my engine got totaled and I just want to put the 6-bolt so I can enjoy it during the summer :)
