i have a 2g with a six bolt swap my idle starts out at 1700 rpm then warms up and jumps up to 2000 rpm . im getting fuastrated but dont wanna give up please help :dsm:

This one can be quite the tricky problem. Have you checked the the easy checks (throttle cable adjustment, maf (mass air flow sensor) plugged in, iac (idle air controller) plugged in)? The last 6 bolt swap I did, needed a fair amount of "adjusting", and a new iac. We used an air fuel controller, and a snap on scanner. If you have access to a scanner, check desired and actual readings on maf, iac, and idle. By comparing desired and actual, you may be able to catch you're culprit. In reality, with a car that has many different sensors, wires, and computers controlling everything, makes it hard to diagnose. I wish i could be more help on this one. Its hard to say without "experiencing" it first hand.

I just realized i didn't put vacuum leaks in there. Vacuum leaks can be hell. A smoke machine helps.
