My car was towed yesterday because they started tearing up the street where I was parked. I usually have the emergency brake up whenever I park. When I got in yesterday night after finally finding out where she was and driving it to a different location, I lifted the handle up and released the brakes, the car inched forward to a stop. I'm guessing only because of the transmission park. What kind of damages am I looking at for the rear brakes? Worn pads? Kinda scares me how it'll just creak forward now.

The parking brake actually uses brake shoes inside a small drum that is integrated into the rotor. If it was towed with the brake engaged you should take off the rear disks and inspect the parking brake shoes. They probably need replacing.
