I dont really know what it is for. But I guess i will need it..

I have a 91 tsi awd...

fmic, t3/t4 turbo, external wastegate, custom full 3in exhaust. going to do the fuel pump rewire, going to drop in the 255 walbro pump. etc etc

Which SAFC should I go for?????
Should I drop in bigger injectors?
2g maf or maf-t with GM maf??

Really want do I need??

I don't really have a HP rating I want yet, I just want to see as I go with upgrades..

What will this car be in HP...As it sits right now.. (unknown PSI) Still having a problem on how to hook-up the wastegate...

Since your going to do the 255 fuel pump better get you a adjustable fuel pressure regulator. Your factory will more than likely not handle the 255. But you will need some typr of fuel controller with bigger injectors. Also a 2g mas will do you just fine unless your wanting to vent your bov then get the gm with the translator. But you also need to get a logger to tune with. But if you get the gm mas and translator you can adjust your fuel that way without the afc. But it is a little harder to tune with.

If you don't know what it's for, you don't need it quite yet.

An SAFC is used to fool the ECU into thinking that there is less airflow going into the engine. Doing that allows you to push more airflow (boost) by offsetting the airflow values to correlate to a shorter fuel injector pulse width while utilizing a higher flowing injector. That in turn, lets you go further on the stock ecu programming without hitting the fuel cut airflow value or hitting the maximum duty cycle your injectors can handle.

The drawback to this method is that the timing advance is affected by the airflow value the ecu sees, so there is a maximum size injector that you can use with a certain octane fuel, and ultimately there is a point where no fuel will have an octane value high enough to keep the too aggressive timing advance from causing detonation. As a general guide, it is not usually recommended to use injectors very much larger than 650cc. Tuning at that level has been described as quite difficult even on a less aggressive 2g ecu's timing curve.

I have no problem getting a afpr, But isn't a SAFC a fuel controller? Is there a special kind of logger I can use... I see the little palm ones will that work.?

I don't want the BOV to go back into the air filter....

I am just courious, did you buy your car with everything on it. That is an impressive turbo set up for someone who does not know what an safc is. No biggie though,

To vent your bov properly, you need to run a gm maf and translator setup so you meter your air before the throttle body opposed to the at the intake. There are many threads on this if you search.
