Clutch Problem Help!!!

Ok here goes I just put my new engine in my 98 gsx and engine starts and runs pretty good. When it's running I can't put it in gear at all but of course when it's off I can. I have a new clutch, flywheel, and throw bearing. When I put it into gear and then try to start it the car won't start. The clutch pedal is all the way down to the floor everytime even when I try to start it in gear.... I am putting gear oil in the transmission but I guess it's not enough.... what could it be???????

I tried to adjust it and I still can't go in gear at all.

What does the clutch feel like? normal? stiff? spongy?
Try giving it a bleed and see if your situation improves. Once you cross out the hydraulics, theres only one answer..

it feels normal and I have bleed the lines already

I'd say your tranny needs to come out then. Assuming the issue is not related to the pedal or the hydraulics.

I have came to that conclusion also, which I wasn't really trying to do that. I ended up putting my car on jack stands and started the car. I don't know what it is but its a hitting sound in coming from the tranny. So yet again taking the tranny apart..................

Don't hate me for saying this, but I've read a couple times of people putting the plate on backwards...hey, just trying to help!

Nah its cool ppl can make mistakes and I know I can also. Once it's out I will definitely let everyone know what it was. I know it's something I neglected but rather find out now then actually driving it.
