my dsm runs good but when you step on gas pedal up to 5k rpm and let go of it regularly all the way, my rpm meter will drop all the way down and my car would die unless i kinda rev it a little more. i don't know why it's doing that.
. I'm assuming you do. This is according to your profile. If its an 8lbs or so, then thats it and it won't be your ISC. Why? well, it has less rotating mass and it doesn't keep the crank turning that long. Because its soo light, you can rev very fast but will decline very fast too and sometimes it will stop the crank completely. To my experince, it usually happens when you rev past 4500rpms and you let go all of a sudden. Also when you make a sharp turn at low speeds and you suddenly go to neutral. The power steering seems to rob some power from the engine and at a very low speed and on neutral, this will take your rpms very low and often make yoiur car stall. This is normal on a car with a lightweight flywheel. Thats just the way it is. You have to sacrifice some things for others. It doesn't happen very often but it does. I doesn't bother me at all. You just need to adjust your driving habits. Thats all. For example, at hi speeds when you want to stop, Down shift. Yeah i know, gasonline is quite expensive. Well in that case, if you want to go neutral, then as soon as you let go, give it few light taps to the acelerator. This way your rpms will decline in stages and it won't be a big long and fast drop. Same thing when you make very slow turns. Usually like "U" turns. For this, just stay in gear and don't go to neutral untill you have completely came out of the turn or your steeringwheel is at neutral position. Incorporate these little changes into your driving habits and your car won't stall anymore.
