allright i got a clutch kit and planned on having my uncle put it in for me because i havnt got the time or the place to do it. Well he had a mishap and is on crutches now, So my question is how much do you guys think it will cost me to have a transmission shop put this clutch in for me?

I would first try to post in your local forums and look for someone who has done it before and can help you. It really is not a hard job if you make sure you buy all the parts you are going to replace first. I did it by myself my first time and it was easy. I only had to wait with my car on jack stands because I forgot to order some parts like a new fork and pivot ball and stuff.

It really depends a lot on the shop for installation price. I've heard everywhere from $300 up to $700 for the labor. I'd say if you do bring it to a shop look for about $400 or lower for just labor. But I still would first look for another DSMer and offer to pay them (anything below the quotes you get will be cheaper so you can pay them a couple hundred bucks or more if that's what it takes). Man would I love to make $200 for free.

It depends where you live. Here in Green Bay Wisconsin you are looking at abou $300-$400 just to put your clutch in. I did it my self and it's not that hard to do it. instead of paying the extra $300-$400 dollars in labor I used that money to buy other parts for my car. I recomend changing or resurfing your flywheel, pivot ball and clutch fork while you're at it. I made the mistake of not doing that the first time i changed my clutch and i had to go back and do the hole thing again because after three weeks my fork bent. hope this helps you..;)
