Have them paint the trim. or take it off and paint it after taht, the smoother the body lines the sexier it is.like 2g
 
That stripe takes a foot out of the visual height of the car. Keep it black. If you can just clean it, leave it at that. Ask the shop if they have any recommendation about refreshing or refinishing it. They'll also know whether to remove and repaint, or just mask it off.
 
What exactly do you mean it takes a foot out of the visual height? Like makes the car look higher?

But thanks everyone for saying repaint\refinish. I was not exactly sure what everyone else thought on it.
