i was wondering if any of you guys had any information on hawk pads. good or bad reviews? i have ebc red stuff's for an awd but i have a gst and my friend has an awd and i told him to buy the same pads but for a gst when he does goto buy pads but he is saying he is gonna buy hawk pads for my car. was wondering if they are any good or not.

I've never used Hawk's but have heard that they are good pads. There a 2 different kinds that your buddy will probably find for sale, the HPS and HP Plus. The HPS's are more of an everyday use type pad where as the HP Plus's are more of a track/autocross pad and will have more noise, more dust and will wear the pads faster.

okay thanks guys. i was just checkin to make sure it was a good deal. i want a good pad that will last. thats why i got the cermaic red stuff but they sent me the wrong pads and wouldnt lt me retune them.

If you do not track your car stay away from the HP Plus compound. The squeaking is intolerable and the amount of dust they produce is enormous. They are very good for track use because of their fade resistance but for everyday use I would recommend HPS compound.

I'd go Hawk HPS on a street car. I've got the HP+ on my car and will probably move into the Hawk race pad lineup once I kill these.

I'll just confirm again, the Hawk HPS is a great street pad. They will greatly improve stopping power vs the stockers & their fairly low dust. I currently run them on the rear to complement my front big brake setup & think their great. They don't squeel & barely produce any dust.
