ok , i just got my clutch resurfaced by fftec about 1000 miles ago, but i guess i didnt install the rear main seal correctly, or my disc may just be worn. but any how my clutch is slipping. so my question is that when redo my clutch job, would i have to have my clutch resurfaced?

Install new clutch kit & resurface flywheel, if ## clutch is slippin its makin more heat wich leaves a pretty glaze on the flywheel thats more prone to slip, it can also already be warped.

You said your rear main seal was installed incorrectly, so I would assume it's leaking oil all over everything? If that is the case then you just need to clean all the oil off your clutch components, use some degreaser on the clutch disc and then blow with compressed air several times to get the oil out. Reinstall your clutch components and you will be fine.

the clutch material might be "soft" after all that oil

we really need more info bro. What kind of clutch did you buy? Did you just resurface the stock flywheel? Why do you think it's a rear main issue? Is there oil leaking from where the trans meets the block? When does it slip? How did you break in the kit?

haha. :) Tell us more about what's happening to your car and what you done to it.

I'd rather not. I might be banned. :shhh: wtf? we don't have a surprised smiliey?!?!

LOL most of the abuse was on my old nt because I was in high school and had hard access to the funds needed for correct maintenance.
