If you don't have an aftermarket gauge then get one and DON'T touch the boost controller until you do.
Agreed, the stock gauge will not tell you anything. You will start breaking stuff if you do use the stock gauge. An aftermarket boost gauge should be one of the first things you get...especially before an mbc.
Turn the boost gauge all the way down and dont touch the boost gauge till you get and aftermarket boost gauge installed.

You mean, "Turn the boost controller all the way down and dont touch the boost controller till you get and aftermarket boost gauge installed"
I don't see how you can turn down a boost gauge or what touching one would do?
