Do you guy think a set of evo cams could work on a 1g? Or should i just go get stock 2g cams and use them? Cause I know a guy who has both and want to sell them.

evo cams will not work. the evo is a whoe different animal. but all DSM cams will work for what you need why not just buy a cheap set of 272's?

I have a friend with a 1g with a evo3 16g and a set of 272's and that thing really pulls nicely with those cams. So, I would suggest the 272's, but that is just my opinion. Like everyone else said, it is really up to what your goals are for the car and what you intend to use it for.

264/264 for a good easy street setup
264/272 for a kick ass "streetable" setup
272/272.....not really needed cause your intake side is great with a 1G.

272/272 setup will be a PITA in traffic or any kind of city driving....that's gonna have a lot of chop.

I have not personally had them on my car but I do know how they are to drive daily on these different setups. I'm building my GSX as we speak and will be going with a 272/280 combo. I'm not gonna go into everything I'm doing but it's not going to be street driven but every once in a while. Mostly a track car. I've done my research and have seen 1g's and 2g's with both cam setups. So yes I do have experience with the 272's

I have a custom cat back exhaust, FMIC, DN manifold, boost controller, FPR, and gauges.
I am looking for a good set of cams for the street but still be fast and kick peoples ass.

Well the 264/272 combo would work out great for a nice streetable car.
