Busted Shock?

I clipped the island making a left turn a couple months ago. now my front left side sits a little lower than the rest of the car, i dont think anything would bend. I would imagine it would snap and break, like control arms and stuff like that. Would it be the shock? Im thinking the shock busted with the sudden impact and doesnt work properly now. What might be making my car sit lower on the front left side?

First of all shocks don't hold a car up the springs do. Now that's out of the way you would be surprised how easily a control arm can bend under the right conditions. As for the shock try bouncing the frontend on that side and see if it bounces up and down. If it does then the shock is working and you have bent something. Could be the control arm. I didn't look at your profile do you have a 1G or 2G? Does it have a strut or spring and shock. If it is a spring with seperate shock then most likely you have bent the control arm because that would be about the only thing I could think of other than a busted spring that would affect ride height

Possible causes off the top of my head...

1. broken spring
2. bent control arm
3. Strut tower pushed up (1G)

Same thing happened to me two weeks ago.. I hit a pot hole..I had to buy a new set of shocks....the bottom of the shock where the spring sits broke...i got mine for about $40.00 i got two used OEM shocks with springs from ebay...
