A couple weird problems

Hi guys, I am having two really weird problems when my car is cold. The first one is when I start my car in the morning and put the car in reverse it will wait about two seconds then jerk backwards as if the emergency brake was up and then I suddenly let it down. The second problem I am having is sometimes when I step on the gas to go a bit faster when its not fully warmed up the car will hesitate or something I can hear boost building and the psi's go up on my boost gauge but the car will stay at the same acceleration then start to jerk like its trying to go faster. The second problem only happens sometimes. Thank you for trying to help me on this one guys because I'm lost.

is it an automatic car? if so then its probably your torque converter.... if it is a 5 speed then you may have a slipping clutch.

Check your A/T fluid level.

How many miles are on this car? Most of the time if you have an auto trans and it hesitates to go into reverse when its cold the transmission is going. Does it go into reverse fine after it has warmed up?

I had the same problems last month. It ended up that my catalytic converter was plugged.

the clutch is only about 2 years old, and it only does it after its been sitting over night, its only reverse, it would really suck if that's my problem. How would I check?
