So my t25's days are numbered now since the arrival of the 16g. So ive been having some fun with it. I just turned the boost up to what i thought would be 17psi. Turns out it was actually 21psi. I couldnt believe the difference that it made. I thought that a t25 could only push around 15psi.Also the turbo that is on it says .49ar on it. That is a t25 correct? Anyways i just logged a run so check it out. :thumb:

wow. im sorry that log looked alot nicer before i actually posted it

I never like to bump my threads, but i need to know if my engine is ok with this. I have little experience reading logs.thanx

No prob.

I see too many of these threads where guys get a new turbo and they want to run their old turbo until it's dead, but I've been rebuilding turbos for years now and I know that's not what I'd do if it were my car. Once the brass journal bearings begin to shred, they only have one place to go.....down.

At that point, you're hoping that your oil filter stops the pieces from getting recirculated back into your engine.

I know trust me the suspense is killing me. Im just waitin to get my 750's and keydiver from jeff o. I want the wow factor to be a big WOW!

When my car was stock (knock-off cone filter) I was seeing airflow of over 24 lbs/min at 16psi.

Your timing will be the determineing factor of your logs to help you decide if your current settings are safe.

Everyone's car is different, but I regularly see 24* of timing by redline. You're seeing 16* by 6400, so I'd wager you hit 18 give or take. That tells me that you're knocking (along with other indicators), but not by any serious margin. I'd feel a little more comfortable running less boost to see more timing advance (less knock) and possibly even more airflow. But the bottom line is I don't think you're doing anything overly dangerous to your car, just not optimal.

The damage associated with a wasted turbo has already been discussed, so I'll leave that one alone.

T25 thrust bearing pieces I found in my oil pan (along with zip tie I had dropped in the head LOL). Penny was from my pocket.

EDIT: And at 6440rpm, you had about 5° less timing advance. I forget the degree-to-knock count conversion. And I don't know what your IATs were or coolant temp which could be responsible for a couple of those degrees.
