1g Maf

I Wanna Buy A 3" Intake Pipe For My 1g And Dejon Tool Sells A Nice One But Doesn't Fit The 1g Maf And Since I Bought A Jdm 6bolt For My Shell I Don't Have A Maf Do I Need One In These Early Stages ???

A maf or intake? If your asking if you need a maf the answer is yes or your car will run shitty/not run at all. I know for a fact that dejon sells pipes for the 1g maf.

If you dont already have a maf then you should just get a 2g maf which flows better anyways. They make tons of intake pipes for 2g's. You would just have to get the 1g to 2g maf harness.

But if you go 2g maf make sure you properly compensate for it...i.e. safc, link yada yada

He means that in order to correct for the differences between the 1G and 2G MAFs you have to have a tuning device like a S-AFC, DSMLink, or EPROM ECU and custom chip)

You can't just slap on a different MAF and start driving.
